Alert Program

The CRA Security Alert System aids members in the identification and recovery of stolen or converted equipment. The system relies on the use of faxes or emails for timely notification of members in the area where the theft took place; to prevent multiple member crimes, and help law enforcement apprehend perpetrators.

The Alert Program notifies members and interested law enforcement agencies of any equipment theft, conversion, or persons who have used fake ID and/or stolen checks.

The process begins when members send a theft or conversion report to the CRA office. The Alert program then faxes details of the theft to member stores in the immediate area. In addition to this timely response, a monthly summary of thefts and conversions is mailed to all members. Occasionally we are contacted by agencies looking for the owners of recovered equipment.

REMEMBER:

The program begins to work when you send your Alert report to CRA. Call the CRA office, 800.272.7400, to receive your copy of the Alert Reporting Form. Keep it on file! You may also download the Alert Forms here. Click on one of the links below, complete the Alert report, and then fax or email it to CRA.
(Reminder: CRA's Alert Program is for members only.)
